The Mumble: band review
The Mumble is a three-piece passive-aggressive rock with members Ryan Lee Long on drums, guitar playing and vocals of Bernard J. Bodin, and James Luther Johnston on bass guitar and the lead vocalist
The first thing I noticed right away was the power that these three guys had in their performance. For just a three piece I was amazed how strong they were. The bass player James Johnston made his bass, and I swear I am not exaggerating, dance. His playing was so intense, so in tune to the feeling of the song, that you could almost see the notes bounce up into the air. I have never seen anyone play bass like that before.
As for the guitar player Bernard J. Bodin, his playing was as equally amazing. Though it didnít dance quite the same way as the bass, his guitar was a beautiful accompaniment to the rest of the band. His voice was clear and strong as he sang the songs which gave the three piece band just another edge.
With the drums, by Ryan Long, as the heartbeat of their performance, The Mumble took the center of our attention and kept it. They have got to be one of the most powerful bands in the city of Indianapolis. For such a small band this is astounding by itself but it is when you hear them you know you are listening to some great talent.
