Love Poems

Passionate Blossom

Ruth 1:16
Entreat me not to leave thee,
Or return from following thee?
For whiter thou goest, I will go:
Wither thou logest, I will lodge;
Thy people will be my people;
Thy God shall be my God.
KJV

Love is born like a blossom
On a misty morn.

Awakened from a night in repose
Addressing the daystar
Orguously increasing in number
Offspring blown on the meandering wind

Ah, only one becomes the beauty
Unfolds its gift of heady ardor
Subjugates flowing notes on the breeze
Heartbeat of slumbering souls
Nurtures time entwined

Fueling the flame unending
Blessed lifetime union
The poet’s rhyme speaks the mind
“Come grow old with me,
The best is yet to be.”

Come Ride with Me

(for our two wheel enthusiasts who together love the open road.)

Come ride with me on my wing of gold
Come ride with me and never grow old
Glide among the clouds,
Over mountains high and valleys low
Come ride out under the warming sun,
Where the four winds blow,
Ride where sparkling rivers run

Come ride with me on my wing of gold
Come ride with me and never grow old
Ride through summer rains and autumn scenes
Past carpeted meadows that spread to the skies
Down ribbons winding through forests green

Come ride with me on my wing of gold
Come ride with me and never grow old
Ride with me under a nighttime sky
As stars look down on you and I
The wind rushes past our faces
Leaving only its cool traces
Mile after mile the wing will carry us on
Time after time we'll look back
to where we've gone
Come ride with me on my wing of gold,
Come ride with me and never grow old
